Ian Humphrey
Associate Attorney
Ian is an Associate Attorney with Kohl and Cook Law Firm LLC, where he concentrates his practice on civil litigation, with an emphasis on consumer protection and foreclosure defense. He advocates for individuals and families facing financial hardship and defending against wrongful foreclosure actions, as well as those harmed by unfair or deceptive consumer sales practices.
Ian earned his J.D. in 2024 from The University of Toledo College of Law, graduating cum laude. While in law school, Ian gained valuable litigation experience while interning for Judge James R. Knepp II of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. He also served as a class representative in the Student Bar Association and volunteered with the Toledo Bar Association. Prior to joining Kohl and Cook, Ian returned to the TBA to serve as a pro bono advocate for local veterans and families in need of legal services.
He is committed to protecting the rights of homeowners and consumers and works to ensure that big businesses are held accountable for unlawful practices. His approach is both compassionate and strategic, aiming to help clients stabilize their lives while navigating complex legal challenges.
Ian is admitted to practice in Ohio and is a proud member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Central Ohio Association for Justice, the Toledo Bar Association, and the Columbus Bar Association.
