Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal, with a strong interest in litigation to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will support attorneys through all stages of litigation, including case preparation, discovery, trial, and post-trial proceedings. Responsibilities include drafting legal documents, managing case files, conducting legal research, coordinating with clients and witnesses, and assisting with trial preparation. Strong organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and knowledge of court procedures are essential. This role requires the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism. Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in answering, evaluating, and organizing potential client intakes.
  • Assisting in onboarding new clients into firm systems.
  • Drafting and proofreading legal documents such as complaints and answers, motions, discovery requests and responses, affidavits, and other documents as required for review by attorneys.
  • Reviewing and organizing discovery documents.
  • Organizing and archiving documents related to complete and ongoing cases.
  • Assisting attorneys with trial preparation, including preparing exhibits and trial binders.
  • Coordinating witnesses and experts for depositions and trials.
  • Assisting the office manager in the administrative operations of the firm and Columbus office.
  • Calendaring appointments and court dates.
  • E-filing in Federal and State courts.
  • Managing multiple projects and following up to ensure deadlines are met.

Education and Experience Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience.
  • Paralegal certificate required.
  • Strong technical/computer skills to include MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel,
    Nitro/Adobe.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and oral.
  • Excellent proofreading skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding time-management and organizational skills.
  • Professional and positive team attitude.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects as needed.
