Jacob Dattilo is an Associate Attorney with Kohl and Cook Law Firm, LLC. Jacob received his J.D. in 2022 from The Moritz College of Law at the Ohio State University graduating as a Public Service Fellow with the Dean’s Highest Honors. Prior to moving to Ohio, Jacob graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in political science.
Jacob has always strived to help the underdog in fights against powerful opponents. He believes in using his skills and experience to do justice for those facing uphill legal battles. Throughout his career he developed a passion for helping underserved communities that so often do not have access to quality legal representation. Jacob began his legal career focusing on foreclosure defense at a small law firm. He came to Kohl and Cook to continue representing consumers while expanding his areas of practice. While in school, Jacob worked with South Eastern Ohio Legal Services helping rural Ohioans stuck in deplorable housing conditions. He also clerked for the Franklin County Public Defender’s Office where he worked to protect the rights of indigent clients facing incarceration. Back in Georgia he spent time volunteering on local and statewide elections and helped conduct wellness studies throughout the public housing developments in Athens, Georgia.
